Water Quality
Golden State Water Company is committed to providing its customers with water that meets and exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards. With nearly 550 highly-trained employees, Golden State’s top priority is to protect the quality of your water supply. In every one of our 39 water systems, a team of highly-trained employees monitors water quality and annually submits a Water Quality Report to each of our customers.
As part of Golden State Water Company’s ongoing commitment to providing high quality water, the company annually provides customers, state and local health agencies and community leaders with Water Quality Reports. The reports provide detailed information about your water quality and the effort we make to ensure any water quality issues are fully address.

Public water systems serving more than 10,000 service connections are required to prepare a written report to their customers every three years that provides information on the detection of any contaminants above levels stated in Public Health Goals (PHGs) adopted by the State Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and any contaminants above the Maximum Contaminant Level Goals (MCLGs) set by the United States Evironmental Protection Agency. PHGs and MCLGs are not water quality standards. They are goals identifying extremely small risks.
