Golden State Water Company’s Engineering Design Center (EDC) has made the following resources available for contractors and consultants.

Standard Drawings

All Golden State Water Company projects with work orders created on or after Nov. 18, 2019 will use and reference the 2019 version of the GSWC Standard Drawings and Approved Materials List listed on this web page. Please refer to project specific instructions in PlanetBid to determine the applicability of these documents. These documents also apply to all repair construction projects initiated after Nov. 18, 2019.

CAD Requirements

CAD Version:  All AutoCAD files submitted to Golden State Water Company shall be in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 file format.  Files not submitted in this format will be rejected.

GSWC Standard Drawing Template: The GSWC Standard Drawing Template (GSWC Template) stores attributes, layers, and styles customized to our EDC. Always begin a new drawing file with the GSWC Template file.

GSWC Standard Border: The GSWC Standard Border shall be used on all projects. The border AutoCAD file shall be attached to the project drawing as a referenced drawing (Xref). All borders shall be Xref to paper space at 1:1 at 0,0,0 insertion point and shall not be scaled by a drawing factor.

Construction Notes Master List (1-15-19): The Construction Notes Master List (Master List) is provided in PDF format for reference. The Master List contains the majority of construction note callouts that are required for GSWCs pipeline projects. Standard CAD blocks of all the construction notes included in the Master List are located in the GSWC Template.

GWSC Standard Plotting (Full): The GSWC Template contains Page Setups to be used when plotting from AutoCAD. These Page Setups are associated with Plotters/Printers within the EDC Department. Full Size Page Setups are associated with the GSWC-Full.ctb Pen Settings.

GWSC Standard Plotting (Half): The GSWC Template contains Page Setups to be used when plotting from AutoCAD. These Page Setups are associated with Plotters/Printers within the EDC Department. Half Size (11×17) Page Setups are associated with the GSWC-Half.ctb Pen Settings.
