2023 General Rate Case (2025-27)

The rates adopted for 2025-2027 will provide customers with long-term value by investing over $26.1 million in proactive capital investments and maintaining local water infrastructure, which is essential to the delivery and treatment of reliable, quality water.

Investments in the Arden-Cordova Service Area include but are not limited to a new well essential to the delivery of reliably clean water, upgrading water treatment facilities essential to the delivery of reliably clean water, upgrades to a water reservoir, water purification equipment, main and meter replacements, installing safety equipment and backup generators to reduce the dependence on the electrical grid during catastrophic events. As part of our commitment to reliability and public safety, Golden State Water proactively invests in upgrading and maintaining its fire hydrants.

Church Well 25 Project

Location: 10400 Coloma Road, behind Cordova Lutheran Church.

Project Timeline:
July 2023 – Early 2024 (weather permitting)

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday (No weekends or holidays)
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Construction crews will work to:

  • Install well equipment and perform site improvements.

This project will ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Pipeline Installation Project

Location: Southbound on Watt Avenue from Barrington Rd to Northrop Ave, and 500’ into the streets of the intersections at Barrington Rd, Hyde Way, Hurley Way, Ardenridge Dr, Humboldt Way, Windsor Dr, Wemberley Dr, Mayfair Dr, Tembrook Dr, Wellington Dr, and Northrop Ave.

Project Timeline:
September 2023 – March 2024

Working Hours:

Day Shift:
Monday – Friday (No weekends or holidays)
8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Night Shift:
Monday – Thursday (No weekends or holidays)
9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.

Construction crews will work to:

  • Install a new water pipeline

This project will ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Trussel Plant
East end of Trussel Way in Arden

Investment:
$2.6 million

Project Timeline:
Feb. 4, 2019 – Jan. 22, 2020

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday (No weekends or holidays)
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Construction crews will work to:

  • Construct groundwater well
  • Construct 400,000-gallon water storage tank
  • Install 3 booster pumps
  • Install 1 generator
  • Construct disinfection building
  • Execute necessary street improvements

This project will improve the distribution system and ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Coloma Reservoir

Investment:
$1.58 million

Project Timeline:
Oct. 16, 2018 – January 2020

Construction crews worked to:

  • Recoat interior of Coloma Reservoir No. 3 and the clarifier
  • Conduct structural and safety improvements to the reservoir and clarifier
  • This project will ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Investment:
$900,000

Project Timeline:
Nov. 6, 2018 – June 11, 2019

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday (No weekends or holidays)
8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Construction crews worked to:

  • Install 500 LF of 16-inch pipeline
  • Install 1,270 LF of 12-inch pipeline
  • Install 135 LF of 8-inch pipeline
  • Install 3 fire hydrants

This project will improve the distribution system and ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

$1.3 million

Project Timeline:
October 15, 2018 – December 2018

Working Hours:

8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Construction crews worked to:

  • Install 2,800 LF of pipeline
  • Install 7 fire hydrants
  • Install 41 services

This project will improve the distribution system and ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Investment:
$965,000

Project Timeline:
October 25, 2017 – March 2018

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday
7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Construction crews worked to:

  • Install approximately 5,800 ft. of water pipe
  • Connect new water pipe to existing pipes

This installation replaced a 50-year old steel pipe, improved the hydraulics of the water system and provided more reliable service to our customers.
