GRC 2020 General Case (2022-24)

The General Rate Case approved June 29, 2023 invests over $9 million in the Simi Valley Customer Service Area. The new rates are being invested in your service area’s major reservoir upgrades, structural improvements at water treatment plants, reduced noise pollution, and backup power equipment.

GRC 2023 General Case (2025-27)

The rates proposed for 2025-2027 will provide customers with long-term value by investing over $13.7 million in proactive capital investments and maintenance of local water infrastructure essential to the delivery and treatment of reliable, quality water. Investments in the Simi Valley Service Area include but are not limited to water distribution infrastructure improvements, fire hardening equipment that protects above ground water infrastructure and the replacement of aging water mains, meters, pumps and safety equipment.

Water Main Improvements

Location: Construction will occur on Sequoia Ave, Royal Ave, Shenandoah Ave, Acadia St, Olympic St, Blackstock Ave, Glacier St, Crater St, Barnes St, and Moreno Dr.

Project Timeline:
April 2024 – October 2024

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday (No weekends or holidays)
7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Construction crews will work to:

• Install new 8-in PVC Water Main and new service lines.

This project will ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Recently Completed Projects

Sycamore Drive Pipeline Project

Investment: Over $1.5 million

Project Location: The intersection of E. Los Angeles Avenue and Sycamore Drive.

Project Timeline:
June 13, 2022 – July 29, 2022

Working Hours: June 13 – June 23
Monday – Sunday
10 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Working Hours: June 23 - July 29
Monday – Friday
10 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Construction crews will work to install a new pipeline.

The project will improve system hydraulics and increase water service reliability.

Sycamore Drive & Niles Discharge Pipe

Investment:
$500,000

Project Timeline:
July 29, 2019 – end of Sept. 27, 2019

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday
7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Construction crews will work to install 1,020 LF of pipeline.

This project will improve the distribution system and ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Portable Generator
Systemwide

Investment:
$735,000

Project Timeline:
Sept. 30, 2019 – Nov. 13, 2019

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Construction crews will work to install emergency generators throughout the system.

This project will ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers during site-specific power outages.

Royal Ave. Bridge
Royal Avenue bridge at the Arroyo Simi channel crossing

$361,000

September 21, 2018 – November 30, 2018

Construction crews worked to install 150 LF of 8″ main.

This project will improve the distribution system and ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.

Lautenschlager Plant

Construction crews worked to recoat the Lautenschlager Plant steel tank.

Investment:
$281,200

May 28, 2018 – December 11, 2018

Monday – Friday (No weekends or holidays)
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Construction crews will work to replace the existing tank with a new 40,000 gallon tank.

This project will ensure Golden State Water can continue providing reliable water service to local customers.
